Dr. Eugene R. (Woody) Widrick is Minister Emeritus of the First Religious Society of Carlisle, Massachusetts after having served as Head Minister for 24 years. Woody is a person who in a few words could ask a brain freezing question, give you three things to mull over related to the question, plant a thought to live by while you were mulling over the three things, and then leave you feeling better for having heard what he had to say. When Woody gave his sermons, he spoke in a soft voice that always had a hint that something either whimsical or profound was about to be said so you had better listen. This collection of his sermons and essays includes the same profound thinking with the same succinctness of his spoken messages.

Eugene R. (Woody) Widrick is Minister Emeritus of the First Religious Society of Carlisle, Massachusetts after having served as Head Minister for 24 years. He is a graduate of SUNY, Albany, New York (M.S.L.S.), Tufts University (B.D.) and Andover Newton Theological School (D. Min.). In addition to Carlisle, he and his wife of over 40 years, Trudi, have ministered at churches in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. From 1968 to 1971, Woody and his family served at the Unitarian Church in Cape Town, South Africa.
