In life, there are situations we encounter that affect not only ourselves, but others that we love. Love & Deceit Unfinished Business captures the lives of four individuals seeking to progress in their relationships. As La'Tia adjusts to life in a new city after her abrupt move from Atlanta, she faces tragedy that leaves her no other choice but to return to the city she moved from. Moving back allows La'Tia to face her issues and then some as she fights to regain her independence. Kelly is ready for the next step in her relationship, but finds that it's not coming as quickly as she'd like. In the meantime, Kelly begins to question the actions of her flirtatious and desperate friend as well as a new acquaintance brought into their circle. Janen is newly married and in a new city with her husband Tony. With her career on track and her marriage going strong, Janen is ready to deal with her past by finding her biological matter. Through opposition, she stays determined to get the answers she's been wanting to know for years. However, she gets more than she bargained her as truths surface from all angles. Derek and Kelly are going strong in their relationship, so much so that Derek is ready to take the next step in bringing their family together. However, things are not that simple considering Derek has some skeletons of his own. Shaneka M. Johnson is a self-published author from Atlanta, GA currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. She has written two novels for publication to date, Love & Deceit Affairs of the Heart (2012) and the follow-up to her debut novel, Love & Deceit Unfinished Business (2013). Shaneka's passion for writing started at a young age and she has written many short stories, plays, and poetry. In early 2012, Shaneka was determined to follow her dream of being a published author and successfully did so. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, dining at various restaurants in L.A., going to the beach, hiking, reading and of course writing.
