The Editors: Alice Mills is Senior Lecturer in literature and children's literature at the University of Ballarat, Australia. She received her M.Litt. from the University of Cambridge. Mills is widely published in the fields of fantasy and children's literature and edited Seriously Weird: Papers on the Grotesque (Lang, 2000). Jeremy Smith teaches and researches in the social sciences at the University of Ballarat, Australia. He has a Ph.D. in historical sociology from the University of Melbourne. Dr. Smith has published numerous articles on Japan, the Americas, and civilizations analysis.
