My picturesque childhood in Guyana ended the moment we migrated to America. Nothing was the same; the culture, the environment, and worst of all my mother. In this story of my mother, I tell the tale of a woman facing abuse, mental illness, and grief. It took a long time for me to understand and appreciate my mother, this book is here to honor her and inspire many others.
