It's interesting to me to look at things and then be able to hatch an idea from my brain, through my fingers and into existence. I suspect that this process may be interesting to you as well.
That's what this book is all about. I'd like you to see what I see and get inside my brain a little and create with me. I have ideas to share, and creative nudgings and suggestions and even explanations (with step-by-step pictures ) of techniques and to make things.
Because I travel across the country, and around the world, looking at things, I thought it might also be fun to share some of those observations and adventures, in case they amuse you and make you think of something creative to do with the shared experience. And interspersed throughout are sketches I've made along the way. Make of them what you will.

Christi Friesen is a bit of a weirdo. But because she's an artist, it's ok. She likes going places and looking at things and then making things from what she sees and telling everyone about them, even if they didn't ask. She is a mixed media artist, specializing in embellished polymer. Doesn't that sound fancy. If you met her on the street, she'd probably stop to say hi, especially if you had some chocolate.
