Description

This novel takes place in New York City, during the 1970s, when crime and drugs ruled the streets. Much of its action occurs in a renowned drug rehab center called "Streetlight." Run by a famous and respected former addict, Al Rakozi, the facility is praised by newspapers and politicians in the city, yet within its walls hide shocking secrets.

Shelley Friedman is a reporter seeking the truth about Streetlight and its narcissistic leader, at considerable risk. e story peaks when Shelley's lover, Jim Range, pretends to be a drug addict and joins Streetlight to expose it as a criminal enterprise, much to both his peril and demise.
