Donna M. Sheppard was born and raised in southern California. She has always had a passion for teaching and learning, which prompted her to earn a degree in early childhood education. Donna owned and directed a successful preschool for many years where she was able to share her love of books with children. She now gathers inspiration for her stories from her two grandchildren, Sadie and Carter. M. Kathryn Ciamarro earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at California State University of Long Beach. She has worked as a commercial and children's book illustrator and has also exhibited her drawings and paintings in several galleries and competitions. She is a mom and a grandma and lives in northern California with her husband and two doxies, Bailey and Cooper.
