About the Author
Jacques is a specialist in occupational medicine and an ethicist. He has wide occupational medicine experience across all sectors. He has retired from clinical practice but continues to teach OH ethics. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, University of Manchester where he has taught for over 25 years. He previously served as a chief examiner, and the director of professional development, at the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine. He is a retired Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and of the Royal College of Physicians of London. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence from the Centre for Social Ethics and Policy at the University of Manchester. He has published numerous papers and spoken on ethical issues relevant to OH practice at various conferences. He is a member of ICOH's Scientific Committee on Unemployment, Job Insecurity and Health (UJIH).
