When Ivy enters depressive mode, she also effectively shows the sudden lack of interest in normal every day activity. The story was easy to follow, and I believe this would be a good book for a counseling office to have to aid others that face bipolar disorder. It is also a good tool to help fight against the stigma held against people that have mental illness. Eighteen-year-old recent high school graduate, Ivy Lancaster now has some negatives to add to her blonde, suede blue eyes, alabaster skin, and svelte body.
