I started writing to cope with challenges around me. I knew I loved writing but I didn't find the passion for it until I realized just how much it not only helped me but could also help others. That's my goal with this book, Real Poems For Real Feelings. My writing is vulnerable so others can feel a connection and don't feel as alone. It's amazing to know that I can connect with strangers, make them feel, and make them heard. This book is a story about a journey of life, not only mine but my friends and family. Life can be traumatic, loving, exhilarating, exhausting, and memorable and that's what the poems share, but more importantly, they share the feelings behind it all--feelings that are real.
