About the Author


Virginia Bulacio is an educator, poet and immigrant from Argentina. Virginia Bulacio is an Argentinean writer, educator, and storyteller. She was born in San Miguel de Tucumá n in the north of Argentina and lived in Las Termas de Rí o Hondo (province of Santiago Del Estero). She immigrated to the United States during her high school years. Virginia holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Minor in Spanish Language Journalism from California State University, Northridge. Her stories have been featured in ImpreMedia, La Opinió n, Univisió n, and ¿ Qué me cuentas?, a Latinx storytelling podcast.During the pandemic, Virginia focused on her writing on poetry to document stories about the undocumented community in Los Angeles. Since then, Virginia has been performing her work at Alegrí a Media & Publishing, The Panamanian International Film Festival, LATINAFest, The Last Bookstore, Chevalier's Books, and Sims Library of Poetry, to highlight immigrant voices and her personal experience growing up undocumented.Her mission in teaching is to share her passion about culture, storytelling, and poetry. She is teaching subjects such as Spanish and Photography at a school in which the mission is to help the student emotionally, socially, and academically through positivity and mentoring. Virginia started a community project called Má gico, which organizes toy drives to bring toys and spread the joy to undocumented children around the holidays.
